It is ideal for use for a multitude of spectroscopic applications. The unit uses the piezoelectrical effect to move the end surface of a single quartz fiber between the endphase of the 9 output fibers. Its reproducibility is sufficient for a lot of applications! Changes made on the measurement setup that require much time are thus avoided. When measuring absorption and reflection, one can utilize one of the 9 channels to correct the drift of the light source. Their compact design allows easy integration of the fiber optic switches in laboratory set-ups or in more complex spectroscopic systems. The switches also feature a fast switching time between the different channels. The fiber switch F-SM19 is coupled to the optical fibers of 200 µm standard diameter with an SMA connector. The switch comes with a customer-friendly easy to handle sotware. A little window appears on your screen after have been installed the switching software. This feature allows to control the F-SM19 with a mouse click. After have been selected the needed channel to detect the measuring signal the software goes automatically to the choosed channel of the switch. The F-SM19 is connected to the COM-port of your PC. No further programms are needed to control the switch. There are other configurations with larger fiber diameters or other optical connectors available upon request.
