Request for information
By dispensing with the Hastelloy C-276 probe material, the RFP-430 Raman probe is a cost-effective alternative to the RFP-480. This probe has been developed for Raman spectroscopy in laboratory applications. A considerable shift between the end of the sensor and the viewed area diameter on the sample is achieved by using a relatively thin sapphire window. The RFP-430 is thus ideal for use in analysis conducted through glass vessels. Compared to other Raman probes, the focal point of the RFP-430 has been enlarged without adversely affecting the optical sensitivity of the measurement. This leads to reduced heating of the sensor during measurement, greater system stability and non-sensitivity with minor inhomogeneities.
The RFP-430 Raman probe can be connected to a laser and to a Raman spectrometer via standard fiber optic connectors. Two different fiber glass bundles with 19 and 7 individual fibers are available. The fiber leading to the laser has a core diameter of 100 µm. Calibrations developed with the RFP-430 can be transferred to a system operating with an RFP-480 Raman sensor relatively easily.
